African recycled glass beads are made in Ghana, West Africa. Theymare created by pulverizing glass into a dry grain powder, and heating the grain so that the pieces form together then baked in a furnace causing the glass to melt together. The painted designs are also of glass. The beads are ground and smoothed by hand to create these masterful works of art.
